BELIEVE!

As I told you before, we traveled to the Nashville Flea Market this past weekend.  I have to say I forgot my camera in the hotel - I know, how could I? Sh-- happens!  The market was fun, we bought a few things, mostly pillow cases for my sister who makes wonderful little girl's dresses from them.  I bought a few berry buckets, a couple of great old windows (why? I don't know), a cornice that I will hang over a sliding glass door in my work room and some great spools to wind my malibu hair-tie fabric on.  I promise I will take pictures so you can all see and know that I am not completely a flake!

We had a great time, it was nice just to get away and relax.  I didn't even think about work TOO much even though it is count down time for our recital which is this coming weekend - May 29, 30 and 31st. Wasn't exactly the best time for us to take a mini-vacation but it was much needed.  Now we have to get busy the rest of the week.

After the flea market we were visiting vintage shops for Ashley's photo shoots and on-line shops and this church building caught my eye (yes, I had my camera):

Sometimes things appear and make you JUST STOP.  This did that for me. First, I have to BELIEVE that things are alright with our blogging friend KRIS. Even though I have not heard from her and from the sweet e-mails I have received from other bloggers - no one has heard from her.  I still BELIEVE we will hear soon.  I sent her a note via snail mail today so hopefully she will know we are all thinking of her.

Secondly, it reinforced that we must BELIEVE that all things are possible for those who DO BELIEVE!  It's a very powerful word.

ADDITION TO PINK SATURDAY!!!!! IMPORTANT!!!!

To all my blogging buddies:  Has anyone heard from Kris tresbelle-tresbelle.blogspot.com ?  The last message I had from her was last Wednesday, May 20th.  We were finalizing our new interviewing blog and all of a sudden her blog has been removed and she has not returned any e-mails.  I am worried.

I contacted Catherine from catherinesteacups since she was the one who won our contest for naming our new joint blog.  She said she received the giveaway from Kris and the last e-mail she received from her was May 18th.  She also said this was not like Kris.

I do not have her phone number as we always e-mailed each other.  I tried to find it through many ways and found it is unlisted.

If any one has heard from her or knows someone she normally keeps in contact with - please let me know.

PINK SATURDAY - MAY 23, 2009

It's Pink Saturday again - imagine that!  It's also Memorial Day Weekend - Yay - summer is almost here!

Spring Trunk Sale ;)

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I'm so messed up on my days of the week lately. Do you ever get like that? Where you think its Wednesday but its actually Tuesday? Ugh I hate it! I get so confused... ANYWWAY...

So our Kdottie Spring Trunk Sale was a hit!!! We had a 2 day Trunk Sale in St. Louis and it was fabulous! Kdottie Designs as well as sister companies "Deconstructed" and "Beverly Hills Annex" participated. New to the trunk sale this season was "Little One Designs"- my aunt Cathy's company. She makes ADORABLE children's clothes.. OMGoodness they are sooo cute! I'll definitely let you know when her website is available! 

Speaking of Websites... this summer i'm teaching myself how to build a website (along with teaching myself French, performing in 2 shows at The Muny, teaching 3 weeks of dance classes, and taking photos for different families, friends, and seniors - more on that tomorrow) I'm thinking about making a MOTHER website that then takes you to all the various blogs, websites, e-commerce websites, etc that is related to myself or Kdottie Designs... what do you think? wouldn't that be easier? let me know your thoughts or hints about website design! PLEASE lol 

So back to the trunk sale.. here are some pics of the shop. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures when the Trunk Sale was actually open and hoping with friends and customers... but at least you can see the layout!

We have SOOOO many new things happening here at Kdotties- I PROMISE i'll be explaining all the new products, ideas, and events this week!!

SHE'S A WINNER!!!

That would be Catherine of catherinesteacups.blogspot.com !  Remember when I told you that Kris of tresbelle-tresbelle.blogspot.com and I were starting a new post once a week and we were having a contest to give the post a French name?  Of course you remember! Thanks to all of you that submitted names - it was very hard to pick just one.  But, we did and Catherine submitted the winning title:

For all of us non-French speaking peeps it means - The Projector Shines On....

and that might be you!  Remember Kris and I are going to choose a blog a week to interview.  We are still working on all the details and trying to fine tune a few things but it should be up and running soon. 

As promised, Catherine will receive a gift from Kris and myself.  LUCKY GIRL!  My portion of the giveaway is a necklace that was made by Ashley, my daughter and the other half of Kdottie Designs.

She also has her own sites - Beverly Hills Annex and Deconstructed which are being re-constructed as we speak/type!  Watch for them soon.

The ribbon is vintage and no I really didn't hang it in the clouds to photograph the necklace!  LOL

DOUBLE DUTY!

This post is going to do DOUBLE DUTY.  You see, I won the MAY GIVEAWAY from fellow blogger, Carol -raiseyourhandif.blogspot.com  I was so surprised and it arrived yesterday.  First, there is this wonderful sign she made.  How great will this be hanging in our dance studio!

She also added a little extra.  Cute, isn't it?  Carol collects Pez dispensers - she has 150!  Daughter Ashley was thrilled - she loves Hello Kitty even at 23 years old!

Thank you so much Carol - it's always fun and exciting to win something and then get something special in the mail.

The next thing is Carol tagged me for 8 THINGS ABOUT ME.  I'm a little late in responding since I have been a slacker about blog reading.  Please forgive me.  This is a little weird for me because I'm really not all that interesting, but here goes:

8 THINGS I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO: In NO particular order of importance -  traveling to the Nashville Flea Market with Hubby and daughter Ashley over Memorial Weekend; summer; watching Ashley perform in 42nd Street and Camelot; visiting Ashley in Paris this fall when she goes there for school; free time; meeting new great-niece in July/early August and hoping niece names her Amelie; sitting in our gazebo; creating new fairy doors.

I have two great announcements! First, this wonderful picture has something to do with both of the things I have to share.

French, you say?  Yes French!  Number One is I took this picture at VINTAGEWEAVE INTERIORS
