YES, that's what I said - WHATCHAMACALLIT! I don't know what to call it because I am not sure what it is. It's not a basket, it's not a box, nor a tub, or a trunk. I use it to hold magazines but it doesn't look like a magazine holder so, what is it exactly?
It says: S Pierre-Paul Riquet
Rue du Faubourg
Saint - Denis
Now you are probably wondering, "WHERE'S THE PINK?" Right here:
Isn't that great? I'll give you a closer look at the inside - it's the same as the lid!
It really is much too pretty to put magazines in - but hey, they have to go somewhere. I love my magazines as does Hubby and Ashley. We all have our favorites. I have a slight problem with things laying around - so in they go!
The WHATCHAMACALLIT really doesn't sit on the fireplace like it is for the photo - but it photographed better there than next to the chair.
So, my friends, if you have a better or fancier name for it, please let me know.
Please visit Beverly at
howsweetthesound.typepad.com and see what "pink" she has today and then visit all the other (whew, there's a lot) PINK PARTICIPANTS.
Have a great day and a better tomorrow!

Hi Caren,
I enjoyed the watchyamacallit description. Well, the first thing that popped into my mind was a craft urn. It sure is a pretty decorative accent though.
Thank you so much for popping by to say hello. I appreciate the visit. Here's wishing you a magical and fun filled day.
Cheers! =D

What a fantastic post. I love it and I love the whatchamacallit. Is it made of paper mache or wood or what? It looks like it could be very light in weight, but it's hard to tell. I think what you use it for is perfect. I would probably use it for sewing goods........or not. Happy Pink Saturday, Char

Whatever you call it, it sure is unusual and different...a real conversation piece, I'm sure. It looks huge. Is it old? New? How did you acquire it?
