New Year. New Blog.

Happy New Years Everyone!!!

So I'm back to blogging. It's one of many new years resolutions-and yes before you say anything I AM going to keep my resolutions! lol So no need to doubt me ;)

For those of you who are new to the blog- WELCOME!

Here is a little bit about myself...

I am a 25 year old free spirit with a love for dance, creating, fashion and imagination.

I absolutely love to travel. I have lived in the midwest, NYC, Los Angeles, Paris, Germany, Holland, England and Scotland.

I have a puppy named Noodle... she's the best little puppy!

I shop too much. I have what some may call an addiction to magazines... I call it a strong interest.

I teach dance & choreograph for a living.

I also started a few businesses with my mom...

KDOTTIE DESIGNS- our mother company. Currently we are creating our beloved Malibu Hair Ties- headbands and hair ties. Check it out and visit our website here.

KDOTTIE PHOTOGRAPHY- I have a small photography business. I love to photograph in natural light with a twist. I absolutely love to capture real life instead of posed photos. You can check out some work on the Kdottie Photography Website here.

We have a few more adventures but we'll save that for another post.

Christmas Tour (part 2)

Welcome back!!!! Let continue the tour shall we?

Here are the stockings hung by the chimney with care...

Upstairs, on the landing, I have a tradition of decorating 3 trees...

with a village (each house/building has something to do with my life.... ya i'm deep like that lol) underneath the trees....

The First tree is the Charlie Brown Christmas tree...

The 2nd tree is a beautiful tree with my favorite ornaments ;)

The 3rd tree is the tree from my Newport Beach, CA apartment back in 2006 ;)

ON my bedroom door is this advent calendar. I remember waking up, in grade school, and every morning being SOOO freakin' excited to but the next one up during breakfast!!

And yes we decorated our friend for winter downstairs.. complete with hat and gloves (well they are the starbucks giftcard mittens....crafty I KNOW)

For the past 5 years, since I graduated high school, I haven't been home for the full Holiday season. Yes- it was so much fun decorating my various apartments however there is nothing like being home!!! I hope you enjoyed our tour ;) Decorating your house for Christmas is just way too fun not to share it with others!!! Kdotties wishes you a MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!

A Christmas Tour (part 1)

I always LOVE our house at Christmas!! SO I thought I would give a little tour around our house today ;) Hope you enjoy!!!

Here is our main tree ;) we used to have a white tree but changed back to green this year!!!

We used Santa Fairies all around the tree (including hanging from the ceiling) and made them look like they were decorating it!

Two of my favorite ornaments- the eiffel tour and a can can dancer oh la la!

My mom's favorite ornament that used to me her mom's when she was little! For as long as I can remember, that reindeer ALWAYS gets prime space at the top of the tree!

On the fire place- the best Christmas childrens books!

the prettiest santa on his sled with a gorgeous polar bear pulling him ;) We changed this to go on top of the grand piano this year!

A new tree this year!! In our kitchen all decorated in vintage around the world ornaments. We decorated it with ornaments from France, Italy, Africa and Amsterdam!!

Alrighty- there is a little tour of our downstairs this season!! Tomorrow i'll post about the upstairs!!! I know I didn't show the fireplace with the stockings but my camera was HATING the lighting tonight so I'll have to wait until tomorrow!

I have to go!! I am having some of my Viz girls over for a Christmas Extravaganza Party, at our house! Lots to do before they arrive!! Come back tomorrow for the next tour of the house and then THURSDAY (Christmas Eve) I'll post about our party!!!

The Best Christmas Pageant EVER

Sorry this post is a tad late... I decided to postpone it a day... you'll understand why later.

SO last Wednesday, Mom and I went to Brynley's (my cousin's little girl) first Christmas Pageant! It was good times!!! Preschool Christmas Pageants truly get you into the spirit and give some good laughs on the way!!

not to mention the amazing STRUT off stage after Brynley's performance!!

So TONIGHT was Brayden's (Brynely's big brother) Christmas Spectacular- which is why I postponed this blog a day ;)

Not only did we get some sassy Christmas tunes (also a shout out to any Viz girls reading this! They sang "Our GOD is an Awesome God... and yes I did the choreography in my seat... I represented no worries), but they also performed the story of Christmas.... which led to a few things...

1. Spotted- BALLOON BOY minus the crazy dad.

(now keep in mind I took these while they were talking about Mary giving birth to Jesus... clearly Joseph was supposed to take on the role of ALL MEN ;)
