Happy Pink Saturday!! Hope everyone is staying cool. It is very HOT and HUMID here :(
Earlier this summer we returned to Los Angeles for a little vacation. Usually we go there for business, so it was great just to relax. Once again, we stayed at one of our favorite hotels, The Langham. We love it because it is PINK (a subtle pink). I am so sorry, I forgot to take a picture of our room but hope you enjoy the rest of the tour.
This is the walkway into the lobby:
The lobby - the flowers change everyday and of course they are always PINK:
These are the beautiful gardens which are right off the lobby:
Even the room service menu was pink : )
The walkway to the pool:
The pool - someone was kind enough to bring their pink raft!
We had breakfast every morning at this restaurant which overlooks the pool. It had the most fabulous scones.
Beautiful paintings were hanging on the walls leading to our room. After passing by this particular one many times, Ashley and I couldn't pass the opportunity to add to the painting:
Don't worry, we made sure no one was coming down the hall!
Please visit Beverly to find many more people who like pink!
Have a fantastic day and a better tomorrow!

Happy Pink Saturday everyone! I'm back again...sorry to be so on and off with the blogging but we have been out of town a lot this summer.
My great niece, Bryar turned ONE on July 1st. Aah, there's nothing like a 1st birthday that includes a WHOLE birthday cake of your own!
First, before things get messy, I want you to see how pretty she was in her birthday dress. It is monogramed with her initials on the front. My sister, Bryar's grandma made the dress.
There were monogramed picks to go in the cupcake tree:
Waiting so patiently for her birthday cake. Had to take off that pretty dress - it's going to get messy!
Finally it arrives! No need for forks or hands - she has it all under control. Just go for it!!!!
It was soooooo good and she is soooooo proud:
A look at the end results:
Thanks for sharing Bryar's birthday with me. Now head on over to Beverly and see all the other Pink Saturday participants.
Have a "sweet" day and a better tomorrow!

HAPPY JULY 4th a little early. This week we are able to stray a bit from just PINK and show a little red, white and blue. I don't have many things at our house those colors but I do have my July 4th wreath I hang on the front door every year.
I know I blogged about the flowers on our deck with you in a previous post, but thought since they were perfect for July 4th, I would show them again.
I wish everyone a safe holiday and send a huge thank you to the men and women that are keeping us free.
Please visit our hostess, Beverly and try to visit as many other Pink Saturday/red, white and blue participants as you can.
Have a wonderful day and a much better tomorrow!

Happy Pink Saturday! Again, it has been a little while since I have posted. We have been out of town - this time we went to Los Angeles to attend the Rose Bowl flea market. We got hooked on this fantastic flea market when Ashley was living in LA. So, today I am going to show you a few PINK things I thought were interesting while walking around.
A little dog bed - I'm sure Noodle wouldn't sleep in it but it was CUTE and PINK!
I was standing by a huge tree (trying to get a little relief from the sun) watching these people struggle with this piece of fabric. They had it every which way and I think trying to figure out how many yards were included. Not sure they bought it but I knew I needed to take a picture for Pink Saturday. What do you think they were going to do with the material?
The next PINK picture I have to show you is a lady who really likes her "scrunches"! That's all I need to say...............
Don't forget to visit Beverly to visit all the other PINK participants!
Have a terrific day and a better tomorrow!

Another week gone by......each one gets faster and faster. It's Pink Saturday time again and this week I am sharing a quilt. I would like to say I made it. However, anyone who knows me very well would know that couldn't possibly be true! I bought it at the flea market in Santa Monica when Ashley lived in Marina del Rey. I just couldn't pass it up. : )
I just love the colors - here's a closer look:
Please visit BEVERLY, our wonderful hostess and then visit as many other blogs as you can - there's a lot!
Have a wonderful day and a better tomorrow!

Happy Memorial Day to all of you. Hopefully you are spending the day enjoying family and friends.
I would like to share some of the "red, white and blue" flowers we have on the railings of our deck:
I think they are pretty, if I say so myself : )
Don't forget to stop and think of the true meaning of this day and if you can, thank someone who has or is currently serving in our military.
