Happy Pink Saturday! Today I had to dig in the archives....Pink Saturday got here before I was ready! Life has been quite hectic lately. Our recital is next weekend - May 21, 22, 23. We have six different shows and seems like a bizillion children and parents to make happy : ) Absolutely NO pressure! So, things at the studio and home have been crazy. After that is over I hope I can get myself organized and post more regularly instead of just Pink Saturday (sometimes)!
The picture I am posting today is one that we took at the studio to use in a informational brochure. However, we don't use it anymore. It shows the different types of dance we teach - lyrical/contemporary, men/boys, tap, pointe/ballet, musical theatre and little children! The little cutie on the end is Brynley, my great niece that I have blogged about many times. She was probably 2 or 3 years old then and she is now 5 3/4. The 3/4 is verrrrrrrry important!
As you can see there is quite a bit of PINK involved here! I hope that you all will stop by and see Beverly and all the other Pink Saturday participants.
Have a good day and a better tomorrow!

First, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to everyone who is a mother, grandmother, aunt (I count them too) and anyone else who considers yourself a mother : ) I hope you all have a wonderful day. I am so blessed that Ashley is home with me to celebrate.
Today I am sharing my new hanging baskets. I recently bought them for our front porch after my friend told me the wonders of "Mandevilla" flowers. I love them and can't wait for the hummingbirds to discover them. It will be a feast!
Don't forget to visit Beverly and the other Pink Participants.
Have a wonderful day and a better tomorrow!

Happy Pink Saturday!!!!! Today I am sharing another keepsake of my Grandmother's. It is a bath salt container.
The bottom of the container says: DuBarry. I did a little investigating and found out DuBarry premiered as the first American-made cosmetic line. It was created by Richard Hudnut. Previous to his efforts, all cosmetics and fragrances available in the US were imported from Europe.
The year was 1903. The conservative clientele of Alexander Hudnut's drug store were among the world's wealthiest women. Alexander's son Richard dared to introduce them to an exotic fragrance he discovered in Europe. Immediately, the DuBarry mystique swept New York society.
In its mid-1900's heyday, DuBarry was bigger and more popular than Revlon is today.
Who knew???? Ashley keeps bracelets in it today. LOL
Please don't forget to visit Beverly and all the other Pink Participants!
Have a good day and a better tomorrow!

Hi Everyone! It seems as if I have been away forever. We have been out of town a lot in the past month so I have missed quite a few Pink Saturdays. I hope everyone didn't forget me : (
Today I am going to share PINK FAIRY HATS! Actually this is a picture from about a year ago. My daughter, Ashley took my great-niece, Brynley to "TINKERBELL ON ICE" - of course they each had to have a FAIRY HAT. Girls certainly must be dressed appropriately for the fairies.
Not only did they buy Fairy Hats but I believe they had a lot of popcorn, cotton candy, nachos and whatever else was available. LOL I'm not quite sure who had a better time, Ashley or Brynley!!
Please check out the other Pink Participants by visiting BEVERLY, our wonderful hostess.
Have a great day and a better tomorrow!

Welcome to Pink Saturday! Sorry I missed last week but we were out of town. My Pink Saturday this week is what remains of a tea set that belonged to my Mom. I only have the sugar bowl and 6 cups and saucers. Who knows what happened to the teapot!
Yes, I said I had 6 cups and saucers and yes, I do have 6 cups and saucers. I thought the picture would be better not so crowded - HA, no actually it was laziness ; )
Make sure you stop by and see BEVERLY and her pretty pinks plus all the other pink participants.
Thanks for visiting me..........Happy Pink Saturday!!
Have a wonderful day and a better tomorrow!

Welcome to another Pink Saturday! Today I am sharing a teacup and saucer that belonged to my Mom. She had quite a collection of teacups. I always loved this one when I was a little girl.....I thought the bird was AMAZING!!!! The only stamp it has on the bottom is "Japan". I am not sure where she got this particular teacup - wish I had listened better when she was explaining things to me :(
Showing the PINK on the saucer:
Another view of the bird - isn't he/she cute?????
Please stop by BEVERLY to check out the other Pink Participants!
Have a good day and a better tomorrow!

Happy Pink Saturday and early Valentine's Day! Our wonderful hostess BEVERLY, has been a little under the weather and I would like to send her many thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. However, being the person that she is, she managed to keep Pink Saturday up and running. Thank you Beverly. Also, don't forget to visit her and the other Pink Participants.
Today our challenge was to show something to do with Valentine's Day. Since we have not celebrated it yet I didn't want to give away my secrets, just in case some one in my family might sneak a peek at this post :)
I am sharing a Valentine Hello Kitty picture Ashley, my daughter sent to Noodle, our dog several years ago. Ashley was living in LA at the time and couldn't be with Noodle on Valentine's Day, so why not color her a picture of Hello Kitty!!!! This picture hangs above Noodle's dog bowls so she has something to look at while she is eating. Yes, it is still hanging there!
Hope you all have a wonderful Pink Saturday and Happy Valentine's Day!
Have a good day and a better tomorrow!

A few close-ups:
I couldn't get a clear picture of the bottom due to the fact I procrastinated and didn't take the photo earlier in the day. It probably wouldn't make much difference since it seems to always be dreary, gray and snowing! It says:
Noritake China
Handpainted
Japan
3983
Goldfleur
It listed patented numbers, etc. I googled (what did we do without google) and it said if it had the M in the middle (which it does) it was made between 1917 -1941. Pretty old - :)
One last look -
Don't forget to visit BEVERLY to find more Pink Saturdays!
Have a good day and a better tomorrow!
